First Love... Never Dies... ?

Got a lot of kilig moments lately.. but not my own.. actually it's of a tita in her 50's who has, after all these years (35years daw), was in search of her first love..

hehe.. nice intro noh.. haha!

Small world..

she found him again coz he happened to be at my dad's phonebook! ... super funny ang connection ... and yours truly linked them.. haha.. coz I overheard her say a name, the same name dad mentioned to mom... and alas! it was he!!

Mom txted him first.. and the mere mention of her name brought a big YES! I KNOW HER! as reply.. hihihi... everyone in that meeting was sooo excited.. hahaha.. then immediately he txted her saying "can i call u now?!!" ... immediately she turned red! hahahaha..

35years of never finding your first love.. then with just one click they've found each other... what's kilig there is that little did she know that he was looking for her too and that she too was his first love!!

... and the rest is history.

Of course unlike any fairy tale little can be done to make the story end happily-ever-after coz in real life there are other people and families involved.. but the thought I'm trying to bring out here is that things happen.. sometimes too fast that sometimes we're not given time to say the things we want to say.

Though on their part I think no regrets are at heart but one does wonder.. what if she didn't let go? what if he found her earlier? what could have been if they never had separated?... so much what if's but I know the answer is clear.... they're not meant to be.

I'm a mere audience at the situation but this took a lot of thinking on my part.. what if I've seen the one for me but I let him get away?! what if the person am talking to right now is the one for me? what if I was too busy and he passed me by?! hahhaa...

Truly no one knows.. but the matter is clear.. Love is like trying on shoes.. you select and try them on.. right look, right quality, right occassion, right price... if the shoe fits.. we try to look for another, maybe there's more? maybe something's better pa? after endless trying on and different shoe stores visited... one always comes back to the right shoe.. the one who gave ur heart, feet and pocket comfort.. yet sometimes.. when we return, the shoe isn't available anymore..

ouchies

if asked... who my first love is... I'm confused.. I don't know how to answer that.. for I believe FIRST LOVE is the love who loved you back, isn't it? so maybe I'm still trying on love.. and so far nothing fits pa.. hehe.. I got big feet kasi! haha..

True love can never be found where it truly doesn't
exist... nor can it be hidden when it truly does

Translations

Words are oftentimes mis-used or even mistranslated when you over-translate them. It even loses it's meaning and may come out funny. One classic example would be TOOTHPASTE. I'm particularly interested in this word (or noun) because it doesn't have a translation in Filipino or in our dialect. Well, for those who know what the words are then please correct me :) I came across this topic in a skype group the other day, we were chatting our hearts out with people from around the world (well most are Filipinos but in different countries) then one person blurted " so ano ang tagalog sa toothpaste? " Everyone kept silent then someone suddenly blurted " joke ba yan? " then most chorused " COLGATE! "... much to my demise, I realized, I didn't know what the tagalog word is for Toothpaste, yet alone know the bisaya term for it. So, I researched online but nothing. Then started texting my friends (Globe lang coz free txt ako sa globe hehhehe) then pe...

Heart Torn Into Pieces ..

How should one feel after a love? uh me? I can't answer that for I've never really experience it yet... 'Til now.. Allowing someone in your life has two sides as person would always have 2 sides, just like a coin. It's either your lives be forever (?) at bliss or it would end up like how most relationship end - in bitter sorrow... I got my fair share of bitterness all my life and now am sad to say am on it's path once again. Fallen and loved someone who after a wink decides to change the table menu. Yeah it's painful, it feels like your heart being torn literally apart and all one can hear is the deafening silence of what used to be a gleeful heartbeat.. I thought I had forgotten how rotten it feels like but I guess I've accustomed myself to the feeling all the while. I've always wondered why there were sad songs when love when found is so pure and happy.. now I know why some people settle for the desperate and suicidal songs of despair.. the songs where...

Hi, I've been cooking once in a while, but to this date I haven't really been learning how to. Everyone in my family and relatives know how 'great' my baked spaghetti is heheheh.. Kabaga ug nawong uy! Anyhow, I'm not trying to learn from online sources and have cooked 2 dishes for breakfast and 1 dessert this week. I just forgot to take photos on one of them, sadly. Anyhow.. here's the Recipe and photos of each for those chef wannabees, like me... ___________________________________________________________________________ PORK CHINESE – STYLE (Asadong Baboy) 6 Servings Ingredients: 2 Pounds / 0.91 Kilo Pork Loin 1/3 Cup Brown Sugar 2 Tbsp. finely minced garlic Marinade: 1 Cup Water 2 Tbsps.
