A funny but understandably innocent situation occured to be last Saturday that truly made me think a lot.... as in A LOT..
I was approaching the elevator on our 14th floor office at Landco when suddenly a bunch of people from the other office was also on their way.. since the building was considered as a 'smart building' hehe.. smart daw coz there aren't any buttons inside the elevator.. what you do is you press the desired floor you'd like to go to on the outside then the elevator screen shows you which door you are assigned, which then would take you to your desired floor.. hayy haba!
Anyways Elevator C is the dreaded door since it's always stuck, rarely is running properly plus there are fears of being stranded because of it's MOODS hehehe.. as we call it.
Now to make the long story short.. we were assigned to elevator C and one could hear shrieks and ayyy's of some people knowing we would be using the dreaded elevator.. plus there were qualms of death! hehee.. remarks of "yoko pa mamatay!!!" "I'm too young to diee!!!" hehhee...
But what shocked me to death was the comment made inside the elevator...
someone said... (translated into taglish) "Sus! why worry?! as long as may SSS na tayo, ok na yan lahat!"
I was like.. FROZEN.. I stared at the guy and was soo shocked that no one said anything in retoration but even affirmed!!!!
Oh come on! SSS?!?! the company on the average as of the moment gives 2,000 pesos to the elderly as their benefit for the long years before! so imagine how much we would get in the near future?!?!?! YEAH it does help a little .. but hey?!?! would we allow ourselves that little in the future after working our butts off?!?!?!
Oh MY GOSH!... amidst the UNIVERSITY degrees coming about with educational backgrounds of Flying colours.. I must say.. so many are STILL ILLITERATE!
hmm.. I don't blame them... but what bugs me is the thought that these Illiterates act as if they know everything and won't even bother to listen to those like us (me) who try to educate them as what I do in my company.
Sheeze... if they only knew
... hay for those who didn't get a thing on why I was so shocked.. for goodness sakes! ask me why before it's too late.
