I don't know about the 120 limit. But there are 2 types of test you can do. There's the no eating for 10hours test, usually you take blood in the morning before breakfast. The level of glucose that is normal with that type of test is 100 and below. Then there's the 2-hour post eating, wherein the normal would be 140 and below as instructed by my Diabetic expert. Hehehe..
